Embark on a transformative fitness journey.

Kids PT builds the movement vocabulary children need for every sport and every playground. Sessions introduce a wide range of movement while keeping the room inclusive and fun, and build proficiency, confidence and creativity week after week.

AIMS

For children to dig into a varied array of movements and games, continuously learning and refining technique. The emphasis is on key patterns like squatting, pushing and jumping.

Each week's session is structured to step towards more intricate movement, so the group progresses steadily from one week to the next.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Mastering a range of locomotion tasks (fluid movement and quick changes of direction) and competently performing fundamental strength exercises such as squats, lunges and held positions.

Children will also show enhanced balance, holding specific positions for longer, under control.

WHAT THEY WORK TOWARDS

Every child has a simple set of movement goals: a clean squat, a controlled hop and land, a held plank. We check in on them each half-term so you can see the progress too.

The lead coach tracks this and will talk it through with you whenever you like.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMPONENTS OF FITNESS.

Kids PT develops every component of fitness. At this age, certain components need more focus and attention. Here's where we put the emphasis.

STRENGTH

Honing a child's ability to exert force against resistance: not only lifting, pushing and pulling more, but improved stability, better performance in every other activity and overall health.

Children work from foundational squat, hinge and push patterns towards holding positions with form and control. Bodyweight first, with light resistance introduced only when technique is solid, always under the coach's eye.

COORDINATION & BALANCE

Hopping, landing, catching, changing direction: the skills that make every other sport easier. Practised through obstacle courses and reaction games so the repetition never feels like drills.

AEROBIC CAPACITY

Relay races, tag games and circuits that raise the heart rate and stretch stamina. Short bursts for the youngest, longer efforts as children get older.

MOBILITY

Moving freely and with control through a full range: dynamic stretches and strength-in-position work that build flexibility and balance together.
